Chocolate Chips Muffin

Finally I bought a 6 holes muffin pan from Bake With Me (RM12) and muffin paper cup (RM2.50) in Lintas.  They run out of small packing of chocolate chip.  So, I bought chocolate button and chop it up to become smaller bits.  There are many recipes of how to make, and the proportion of ingredients vary. I don't know why.  Below is my modified copy and it turned out alright.

225g plain flour
100g castor sugar
3 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
190g milk
60g sunflower oil
1egg
100g chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence

  1. Preheat oven to 200 deg C.
  2. Lightly beat the egg, mix with milk, oil and vanilla essence.
  3. Sieve flour and baking powder into a bowl, add in sugar and chocolate chips and mix well.
  4. Pour in the wet ingredients into dry ingredients at one go.
  5. Mix with no more than 10 strokes.
  6. Spoon batter into 6 muffin cup about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake until the cake crack at the top and golden colour.  It took me 30min.
I forgot to take a picture of the muffins I made.  Believe me, they looked better than most of the pictures in the recipes I browsed.  They were soft, and with more flour, I supposed they would be heavier, and more like those sold in the cake house.
